Associations Focus: CEDIA Certification Goes Online

It is truly easier than ever to meet the new membership requirements and obtain the coveted CEDIA certifications as CEDIA University now delivers the Installer Levels I and II review classes and certification exams online. Review classes are available on the Web to take at your own pace and in the comfort of your home or office. Exams are now offered at many locations across the country, making the certification process much more flexible.
The online service began last month, through CEDIA University at www.cedia.org/cediau. All that is needed to take any CEDIA certification exam is a high school diploma or equivalent. However, you must complete the Installer Level I certification prior to registering for the Level II exam.
Review classes are $149 for CEDIA members and $249 for non-members. Exam fees are $250 for CEDIA members (administration fee waived) and $350 for non-members, plus an administration fee of $85. Each person registering to take an online exam must register at least 21 days prior to the date they wish to sit for the exam. Doing so guarantees you a seat at the exam site.
Anyone unable to attend an exam date is charged a $50 cancellation fee against their refund. Canceling within five days of or after the scheduled exam results in no refund.

CEDIA BOOT CAMP
CEDIA EST Boot Camp takes your employees offsite for an intense, three-day skills-based training event.
