AV IN HIGHER EDUCATION GROWING

InfoComm International recently released the findings of its latest market study examining the use of audiovisual equipment in higher education.

AV Technology in Higher Education was conducted for InfoComm by Acclaro Growth Partners, an independent strategic research firm. The study explains the educational, financial, and technological benefits realized by higher education institutions using audiovisual technology.

The study shows that in the next five years, half of all higher education classrooms will have audiovisual technology. Classrooms with AV equipment are expected to double annually through 2010.

With technology being integrated into new classrooms, changes in education methods have occurred, including the increased use of collaborative techniques and project-based assignments. Audiovisual technology is also being used to attract tech-savvy students and accommodate distance learning programs, which expand both the reach and revenues.

For additional information on AV Technology in Higher Education and the many other studies from InfoComm, visit www.infocomm.org or email [email protected].
