Audio Video Systems Achieves Gold Standard with Highest AV Industry Certification

Audio Video Systems (AVS), a leading provider of custom audio/video design-build and systems integration services for government and commercial customers, announced that the company has achieved “Gold” status under the audiovisual (AV) industry’s prestigious Certified AV Solutions Provider (CAVSP) Program. The Gold designation certifies that 75 percent of AVS’ employees have completed an InfoComm International Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential program. InfoComm awards the CTS credential to AV professionals who demonstrate knowledge and comprehension of the science and technology used in communications including audio, video, and display systems.

The CAVSP Program is the industry standard certification program for professional AV companies. InfoComm and the International Communications Industries Foundation (ICIF) administer the program to assist end-users of AV technologies in selecting providers demonstrating commitment to professional excellence through advanced education and training.

“Staff training, experience, and professionalism are critical factors that customers take into account when evaluating AV providers,” says Matt Komos, AVS’ chief operating officer. “The Gold CAVSP certification provides independent recognition of our advanced knowledge and experience, and signals that our people are among the industry’s most highly trained and technologically skilled. Our commitment to excellence in professional development, through both InfoComm and manufacturer training and certification, is a key ingredient of our success in delivering high-quality service and exceeding customer expectations.”

“A CAVSP designation gives AV companies a competitive advantage in the marketplace,” says Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., InfoComm International’s executive director. “Customers of AV communications and presentation systems can be confident of professionalism and an aspiration to excellence when working with these companies that have invested in education and training to stay current on the latest AV technologies and techniques.”
