PLASA Recognizes Product Excellence
The Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA) annual exhibition in London pulled in a record 64 new product nominations for the PLASA Awards for Product Excellence. The products were displayed at the September PLASA show in London.
In the Sound category, the award for Design Excellence was presented to Denon for the DN-D9000 dual CD player. DiGiCo UK won the Sound award for Technical Innovation for its D5 Live audio console. The Stage Engineering category award for Design Excellence was presented to PCM Pfaff-Silberblau for the Pilewind, designed for multipurpose theatrical applications.
A number of new products were also highly commended by the judges and received a special mention at the awards ceremony. These included Allan and Heath's Xone:V6 rotary mixer (Design Excellence in Sound) and Crest Audio UK's CKi Series of power processing amplifiers (Technical Innovation in Sound).
