Bag End Loudspeakers has rolled out its new IDS12-I subwoofer system, designed to deliver extended-range, low-frequency sound from a compact enclosure. Built for permanent installation, the IDS12-I features a built-in dual integrator and provides a flat response down to around 18 Hz. Additionally, the subwoofer’s 12-inch INFRA core allow it to maintain tightly packed bass, aligned with the upper range signal to produce a musical connection with the main loudspeakers, says the company.

The IDS12-I is suited for both background and foreground music system applications, including film and video presentations. The company also offers an optional fly-point mounting system.

The IDS12-I is housed in a compact, sturdy, 13-ply birch plywood enclosure, measuring 15 inches high by 18 inches wide by 15 inches deep. It’s fronted with a 16-guage vinyl-coated perforated steel grille, although an optional cloth grille is also available. Enclosures are available in a range of colors, or unfinished and ready for staining.

Other features include a 2.5-inch voice coil, 80-ounce magnet, infrasub sealed chamber system, 10 Kohm audio input impedance, and an 18 Hz to 95 Hz (+/-3 dB) frequency response.
