Beyerdynamic products have been busy in the field this year. One of the company’s announcements was the successful installation of an MCS microphone conference system at the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation, performed by Jay S. Stanley and Associates Inc. of North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Another MCS system was sold to the rental division of Markey’s Audio Visual Inc. of Indianapolis. The initial application was for meeting control and audio at the NCAA Infractions Committtee hearings and has also been used for the NCAA Tournament Committee and the NCAA Convention in Orlando.

Intaaglio Visual Arts and Technology of Grand Rapids, Michigan, installed an MCS system as part of an overall A/V system for the MTEC building at the Kalamazoo Valley Community College. A total of 62 delegate stations with integrated loudspeakers were installed. The digitally controlled system was operated through a third-party control panel.

Baltimore-based Evron Inc. installed an MCW wireless conference system in the executive boardroom of the Maryland State Employees Credit Unio. Each wireless station was equipped with an integrated loudspeaker, which used a fifth frequency and provided master bus foldback.

And, in Cooperstown, New York, during the baseball Hall of Fame induction of New York Yankee announcer Bob Sheppard in 2000, Sheppard donated his Beyerdynamic MC834.. The MC 834 is a large-diaphragm, true condenser mic with applications in broadcast and recording. Sheppard had been announcing with it for ten years.
