BTX Named Sole Matrox Veos Distributor
BTX partnered with Matrox Graphics, a manufacturer of specialized graphics solutions, to become the sole AV distributor in the United States for the Matrox Veos multichannel digital extension solution for digital signage installations.
BTX partnered with Matrox Graphics, a manufacturer of specialized graphics solutions, to become the sole AV distributor in the United States for the Matrox Veos multichannel digital extension solution for digital signage installations. Under the agreement, BTX will provide product sales and support as Matrox Graphics extends its market presence beyond IT and into the AV industry.
The Matrox Veos comprises three components: the master unit, the display unit, and the repeater unit. According to BTX, a single Matrox system can carry up to three channels of content along a single copper-based cable, extending more than 100 meters per component across an unlimited number of iterations.
“At Matrox Graphics, our products have traditionally been distributed via the IT industry. With Veos being as much a graphics product as an extension product, however, we found that we needed to penetrate the AV industry as well,” said Ron Berty, business development manager for Matrox Graphics, in a statement.
“We have a tradition of offering products that help make installers’ lives easier, and the Veos certainly meets that criterion,” said Greg Schwartz, president of BTX. “It offers a number of capabilities to meet the requirements of any digital signage installation in one flexible and scalable solution– at an attractive price point.”
