YAMAHA COMMERCIAL AUDIO HOLDS DEALER SUMMIT
Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems Division's two-day dealer conference, “Tahoe Summit 2005,” encompassed new product introductions and presentations by sales, marketing, and product managers. Attendees also got to have some fun in Lake Tahoe, Nev., enjoying a two-hour concert by Collective Soul after a full day of presentations on new product offerings, including the Nexo product line. The concert venue was outfitted with a Nexo Geo S system and two Yamaha PM1Ds at front-of-house and monitors.
WAL-MART OFFERS DIGITAL SIGNAGE AT CHECKOUT
New Wal-Mart Checkout TV, launched by Thomson subsidiary Premier Retail Networks (PRN), will provide engaging content on flat-screen monitors in checkout lanes of Wal-Mart stores to entertain shoppers. The signage will inform shoppers about new products and products available near the checkout stand, with a ticker providing news and weather updates. Checkout TV will be available starting with eight market areas this year.
