The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) announced an agreement with EH Publishing, principal owner and producer of the Electronic House Expos (EHX). CEDIA will provide training and certification programs at the spring and fall EH Expos. CEDIA will also serve as a major sponsor of both EH events.
CEDIA will begin offering its programs at EHX Spring 2003, February 26 through March 1, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. CEDIA will contribute a significant portion to the EHX seminar sessions, will conduct CEDIA Installer I and Installer II certification training, and will sponsor dozens of manufacturer training sessions at the shows.
“CEDIA has worked very hard to increase the educational opportunities in the custom electronics industry,” says Jeff Hoover, CEDIA president. “This brings consistency and enhances the growth and education of our industry.”
Ken Moyes, president of EH Publishing, says the agreement spans a five-year period.
“(CEDIA's) participation and contribution to the event will mean accelerated growth and development of the event, especially in the critical audio, video, and high-end categories,” says Moyes.
