Continuing to meet the growing demands of national security and alert infrastructures, Chyron, the world’s leading provider of broadcast graphics solutions, and SpectraRep, a leading provider of systems and services for information distribution, have combined efforts to provide an integrated solution for delivering emergency information to public and private video displays. A member of Chyron’s ChyTV family of products, ChyAlert now supports video display of emergency messaging from SpectraRep’s AlertManager emergency notification system.
“By driving our ChyAlert video information display systems directly from AlertManager, we can ensure that any facility or public space using our device is able to hook into and display national hazard notifications and graphics, including law enforcement and public safety information as well as natural hazards such as severe weather, fires, earthquakes, and tsunami,” says Chuck Motta, Chyron’s general manager, government systems.
SpectraRep’s AlertManager is a complete system for composing and issuing all EAS, amber alerts, weather and other event notices to broadcasters, government sites, campuses, cell phones, mobile data, and email. The AlertManager system enables the origination, transmission and receipt of Common Alerting Protocol messages, audio, video and multiple file attachments. The system provides distribution of emergency information via satellite, DTV datacast and web-based platforms.
SpectraRep and Chyron are providing a demonstration of combined system capabilities at the IAEM Conference, Booth 519 (Orlando, FL. Nov 13-16, 2006).
