Doremi’s new CineAsset program converts popular video files to unencrypted, DCI-packaged files for playback on digital cinema servers. Adding Material Exchange Format (MXF) wrappers to each file, CineAsset allows nonencrypted files to be received and played back on the Doremi DCP-2000, DCP-2K4, and DSV-J2, among other digital cinema servers. Network connection via Ethernet or USB permits automatic file transfers to each individual server. The 3D Merge and 3D Clip Splitting features allow two JPEG2000 clips to merge into a single 3D file.
Exhibitors can also use the software to convert, transfer, schedule, and play back 2D or 3D video clips for ads or promotions. CineAsset operates on Windows XP Pro-based PCs and supports 720p, 1080p, 2K, and 4K resolutions.
