ESTA Foundation to Launch New Program, Unveil a Harley-Davidson for Raffle at ETS-LDI
Nov 7, 2005 10:02 AM
On Nov. 11, 2005, immediately after the opening of the ETS-LDI trade show, the ESTA Foundation will unveil a Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 883 that will be raffled off at the end of the show. At the same time, the Foundation will formally announce Behind the Scenes, a major new initiative for the entertainment technology industry. Proceeds from the raffle will support the program.
Behind the Scenes will provide financial support to entertainment technology professionals when they are seriously ill or injured. The foundation is raising money for the program from those in the industry — so, together, we can take care of our own. The raffle is one element of the fundraising. First prize is the Harley. Second prize is a theater trip to New York. Tickets will be $50 each or $200 for five. A maximum of 1,500 tickets will be available.
Also to be announced at the launch and reveal of the Harley: The Altman Family Challenge Grant. The Altman family will match all funds raised for Behind the Scenes in the first year — dollar for dollar — up to $125,000. That means every dollar contributed to the program — through the raffle and contributions — is doubled. The ESTA Foundation board also will announce its kick-off contribution to the program.
Join the ESTA Foundation, the Altman family, and some of the industry’s favorite bikers for the official launch of Behind the Scenes and hear the full story firsthand. Immediately following the event, the raffle will open with a ceremonial purchase of the first ticket.
