Don't Overload “S&VC Extra” with Glitz
Please don't overload [your e-mail newsletter] with commercials, promotions and glitter. I would like to see more informational items directed to those in the A/V industry.

“S&VC Extra” managing editor, Daniel Ari, responds:
The goal of our e-mail newsletter is to give readers biweekly industry updates. It can add an edge of competitiveness for those who keep up with the latest products and business news. That's why it includes product announcements — we know from experience that many readers value this information highly.
But we also send “S&VC Extra” to build more community within the industry using electronic communications. So we always welcome ideas and suggestions from our readers. and the newsletter will continually evolve to best serve the subscribers. I encourage all S&VC readers to subscribe atsvconline.com.
Our Readers Are a Savvy Bunch
Mr. Peter Mapp wrote an article in the November issue called “Sound Power: The Forgotten Loudspeaker Characteristc.” It was very useful for me, but I think the formula
Lp = Lw + 10 log (Q/4pr2 + R/4)

Please advise. With warm regards,
The Author Responds:
Yes, the equation should be 4/R.
