The China Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES) concluded Monday in Qingdao, China, after hosting more than 390 exhibitors, occupying the largest exhibit floor in show history. Co-sponsored by the U.S.-based Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), SINOCES 2006, China’s largest exhibition of consumer electronics, was held July 7-10, 2006, in Qingdao, China.
The fifth annual SINOCES attracted more than 62,000 attendees from across the globe, including 5,300 attendees traveling from outside China. Industry professionals experienced the latest products from 392 global exhibitors, across a sold-out show floor comprised of 35,000 square meters of exhibit space, up from 24,000 square meters in 2005.
“The Chinese consumer electronics industry continues to boom, providing incredible opportunities for foreign companies to expand into the Chinese marketplace,” says Todd Thibodeaux, senior vice president, industry relations, CEA. “CEA’s partnership with the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (CECC) and SINOCES paves a road for our members to explore new international business opportunities and allows us to promote our tradeshow, the International CES, to an international audience.”
