GDS Appoints Account Manager

Global Display Solutions (GDS), market leader in the design and manufacture of industrial displays, announces the appointment of Phoenix Jian as sales account manager. Jian will be based at the company’s new manufacturing and sales facility in China, which opened in March 2006.
Jian brings to GDS a wealth of sales experience in the communications, information technology (IT), and electronics industries, having worked as a project and sales leader at Tradex Converting Co. where he successfully managed four mass production projects. Prior to this, Jian worked as a product manager at Hi Sun Technology Holding and as a software engineer and project leader at Shanghai Xietong Technology. In his new role at GDS, Jian will be in charge of maintaining a strong and steady relationship between GDS and NCR, providing them with commercial support and market intelligence, and representing their interests. Jian holds a Bachelor in Measurement-Control Technology and Communications Apparatus from the Harbin University of Science and Technology, as well as a Master’s degree in Eastern Asian Studies from Lund University.
The opening of the new China facility marks the next stage of GDS’s continued global restructuring, manufacturing, and business development investment in order to support its global accounts and growth in China. It will be situated in Wujain Fenhu Economic Development Zone, on the border of Shanghai, and will consist of a professional industrial monitor line with class 100 clean level. A Surface Mount Technology line will also be installed along with a clean room with up to 10K clean level.
