Mark your calendars—InfoComm International is launching “AV Week” from Oct. 22-28, 2006. The purpose of AV Week is to raise awareness of the audiovisual industry, the role of AV professionals, and the value that AV products add to people’s lives.

“AV Week is the perfect opportunity to share the ways AV products and professionals enhance communications,” says InfoComm Executive Director Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D. “Whether you choose to hang an AV Week Poster in a storefront, sponsor an AV Career Day, write a letter to your newspaper concerning an industry issue, or conduct a community open house, I urge all sectors of the AV industry to get involved.”

InfoComm will provide a free tool kit and materials to help members create their own events, ads, and outreach to clients, job candidates, and the community at large. Those wishing to keep up-to-date on AV Week developments should visit www.infocomm.org. Manufacturers, dealers, integrators, technology managers, and others wishing to serve on the AV Week Steering Committee should contact Cheryl Regan at [email protected].
