The John Lennon SongwritingContest Educational Tour Bus now includes an NTI Minilyzer ML1 audioanalyzer and its companion Minirator MR1, thanks to a donation fromNTI. James Cowan, president of Neutrik USA, presented the donation toBrian Rothchild, executive director of the John Lennon SongwritingContest, during Winter NAMM.

Hearing Conservation Gets $60K Boost from Shure

The House of Blues Anaheim hosted Shure's Musical Roots Concert, abenefit for hearing conservation, during Winter NAMM. Headlining actLiving Colour and guest appearances from Shiela E., Stewart Copeland,George Clinton, Cesar Rosas, David Hidalgo, Keb' Mo', and others helpedbring in $60,000. The money went to three non-profit, hearing-healthorganizations: The House Ear Institute, Hearing Education and Awarenessfor Rockers and Ravers, and the Hearing Aid Music Foundation.
