Harman International said this week it has expanded its relationship with manufacturers’ representative Dobbs-Stanford. Company officials said the long-time partner would add AKG microphones and headphones to its line of supported products.

According to Harman, the expansion will allow Dobbs-Stanford to offer audio professionals in its territory comprehensive sales and support for the entire range of Harman Professional brands, which includes Soundcraft, Studer, Crown Audio, JBL, BSS Audio, dbx, and now AKG.

Harman also announced Dobbs-Stanford will assume sales responsibilities for the entire Harman Professional product line in Florida as of January 1, 2009.

Headquartered in Dallas and with six regional offices, Dobbs-Stanford’s territory comprises Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and western Tennessee. The company serves the pro AV, consumer electronics, and digital signage markets.

“There are a lot of choices out there when it comes to mic lines and we are really pleased that the Dobbs-Stanford team has chosen to represent AKG’s outstanding products,” said Michael McDonald, Harman Professional executive vice president of marketing and sales, in a statement.
