High resolution audio and video system installation products, including projectors and loudspeakers.

Barco’s F50, a new projector for the training and simulation market, is a rugged, compact projector that brings increased brightness, higher resolution (WQXGA – 2560×1600) and high frame rates (120Hz) to a wide range of applications in the training and simulation market, including compact domes and cockpit simulators. It features smear reduction technology, 3D Active Stereo, wide focus depth, and an unmatched optical performance.

The Christie Matrix WU7K-J 3-chip DLP projector delivers real-world simulation to handle the most challenging of today’s display requirements. It features 6,300 ANSI lumens, full scalability, built-in geometric warping and edge blending, and image processing with 120Hz capability. It comes standard with Christie AccuFrame, which is specifically designed to address the needs of the simulation market by allowing the user-adjustable reduction of perceptible image smearing. It supports various frame rates and environments, ensuring the accurate display of high-speed simulation content for the most true-to-life displays. Christie Twist provides built-in image warping and edge blending. It offers RGB color matching, full control of gamma curves and grayscale tracking, and minimum processing latency.

The Christie Mirage WQ-L is an LED-based 1-chip DLP projection system with WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution and 800 ANSI lumens. Offering a stable and reliable LED light engine rated at 60,000-hours (approximately 6.5 years) life cycle, the Christie Mirage WQ-L includes Christie ArrayLOC for synchronized color and brightness management, which reduces calibration requirements. It is ideal for a wide range of markets, including aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, government, academia, and entertainment. The Christie Mirage WQ-L operates off the Christie KoRE electronics and firmware platform, which provides input capability and control flexibility for advanced visualizations systems.

Available now for simulation projects demanding long-life illumination with minimal consumables and remarkable color accuracy, Digital Projection International’s (DPI) 2,000-lumen TITAN WUXGA LED 3D enlists premium LED elements for more than 60,000 hours of consistent illumination. The 1920×1200 resolution TITAN WUXGA LED 3D is based on Texas Instruments’ 3-chip DLP technology. For simulation applications needing IR capabilities, LED+IR versions of the TITAN are also available. Additionally, TITAN LED+IR projectors are also available with dual input control, enabling the simultaneous display and control of two streams of video.

The Christie LA3C (right) line array ceiling surround and LA3S (left) line array surround speakers expand the company’s Christie Vive Audio cinema sound solution announced earlier this year. These speakers feature a combination of ribbon driver technology and a unique parabolic line array design in a single compact cabinet to deliver even coverage throughout an auditorium. With timbre-matching, enhanced voice intelligibility, and low distortion, the speakers’ unique parabolic line array design increases the optimal listening area up to four times that of the standard point source systems. The low mass of the ribbon drivers allows them to respond very quickly to audio signals and eliminates the effects of high frequency breakup and power compression, resulting in the reproduction of the source material with exceptional clarity and accuracy. As part of the Christie Vive Audio system, they can be easily integrated into any existing or new theater auditorium for an immersive listening experience. The complete Christie Vive Audio solution includes ceiling surrounds, wall surrounds, screen channel speakers, subwoofers, and Class D amplifiers. The system is ideal for traditional and premium large-format auditoriums, as well as postproduction studios and screening rooms.

JVC Professional Products’new DLA-2400ZG projector delivers a 5.1-megapixel-equivalent image via JVC’s proprietary e-shift technology, along with 18,000:1 native contrast ratio, and a minimum of 900 ANSI lumens. It offers two HDMI inputs, as well as RS-232C and LAN connectivity for remote access and control. Its unique 120Hz input interface means reduced image generator (IG) hardware requirements. Ideal for the simulation market, it preserves the native contrast ratio and dynamic range of images, with no restrictions on mounting orientation. Plus, it provides years of operation with reduced maintenance requirements. The DLA-2400ZG is available now and includes a 2X zoom lens with manual focus and lens shift, or without a lens (model DLA-VS2400G).

The Meyer Sound X-400C compact cinema subwoofer features high-peak power output with excellent transient reproduction, extended low-frequency range down to 20Hz, extremely low distortion for exceptional low-frequency clarity, and flat amplitude and phase responses for tonal accuracy in a compact cabinet that can be installed singly or as multiple units. The X-400C is comprised of a single 18in. low-frequency, long-excursion cone driver housed in an optimally tuned, vented cabinet and powered by a single-channel amplifier. Onboard processing includes driver protection circuitry, low-pass filtering, and correction filters for flat phase and frequency responses. The cabinet is constructed of premium birch plywood and coated with a low-gloss, black-textured finish with attachment points for an optional grille frame with black cloth. The IntelligentACTM power supply affords automatic voltage selection, EMI filtering, soft current turn-on, and surge suppression. It integrates with Acheron Studio and Acheron Designer screen channel loudspeakers and with HMS-5, HMS-10, and HMS-12 surround loudspeakers. The RMSTM remote monitoring system is optional and provides comprehensive monitoring of system parameters on a Mac or Windows-based computer. Applications include sound design suites, small and custom private theaters, screening rooms, for mixing for postproduction facilities, and for other applications needing immersive surround.

NEC’S NC1100L Digital Cinema projector is a laser-light source projector targeted to exhibitors with small screens or projection booths as well art houses, mobile cinemas, theaters in universities, and public buildings. As part of NEC’s Digital Cinema Projector series, the NC1100L projector delivers 2K DCI-compliant cinema quality, which translates to an image brightness of 14-foot-lambert (using a 1.8 gain screen) on screens up to 36ft./11 meters in DCI color. It is the world’s first digital cinema-compliant projector with laser light source built-in. The NC1100L projector features 2K (2048×1080) resolutions, 3D capabilities, and 3-chip DMD reflection method. It is easy to operate with user-friendly accessibility. The NC1100L will be available in March 2014 with a two-year limited warranty (for U.S. and Canada only), including parts and labor.
