Sennheiser introduces the MKE2 Gold, an omnidirectional mic. The mic incorporates a dual diaphragm design whereby the first diaphragm acts as humidity barrier, leaving the second immune to moisture. Two acoustic end caps offer frequency response contouring: a short cap adds 2 dB at 10 kHz while a long cap increases the frequency by 8 dB at 10 kHz. Removal of the end cap ensures a flat frequency response.
