Scharff Weisberg designed and installed a complex audio system for the Regis Live show. The system provides a permanent band mix position for the musical acts that perform on the show. The show requires feeding sound to many different sources in a small space. With the system that Scharff Weisberg designed and installed, show staffers can separate the sound to different areas quite successfully. They’ve booked major acts including the Doobie Brothers and the Baha Men. Specific products in the system include: the new Allen & Heath ML 5000 mixer, Ashley 4.24g EQ and Summit Tube Compressors.

Also from Scharff Weisberg comes news of four extensive audio packages of Sennheiser wireless microphones to the XFL. Consisting of up to 40 channels of mics per game, the packages allow the home and stadium audience to hear all the sounds of the game, including players, announcers, coaches, journalists and referees. There were a total of four packages to support all of the weekly games among the eight XFL teams. Each package was slightly different and was designed to accommodate the size of the television coverage for each game.
