Meyer Inside the Snodrift Club and Restaurant

In one of the country’s most expensive real estate markets, near SanFrancisco’s Pacific Bell Park, sits the Snodrift, a club that brings intop DJs and good private party business.
The club’s high price and 6-month renovation process, including theinstallation of a completely new electrical system, was worth it toowner and manager John Russell. “There was no negotiating or bargainingin those days,” he says, “but that was okay because I knew that thiswas a hot area and that I could attract the best of the club crowdhere.”
Shortly after the renovation, Russell chose Meyer Sound self-poweredloudspeakers to round out sound in Snodrift’s large back room, which heconsiders a “more refined space.” The back room needed specialattention, with a sound system that could play to its needs. Russellcalled John Monitto, Meyer’s technical sales support manager, whospecified a system of four UPA-2P Compact Narrow-Coverage Loudspeakers,two 650-P high-power subwoofers and two CP-10S tamper-resistantparametric equalizers.
The system has worked for Snodrift. Russell comments: “We tend to havethe bigger DJs in here, from the top local and national names toartists from the UK; and all the DJs who visit like playing here.”
