Avlex has announced that the Mipro MA-909 professional wireless mixer has been nominated for The Mix Foundation’s Technical Excellence and Creativity in Audio Award to be presented Oct. 8 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
The MA-909 is a UHF true-diversity 16 frequency-agile wireless mixer that combines up to two wireless microphones, a CD player, and mic and line inputs into a rackmountable 2RU control mixer with a wireless transmitter.
Jack Nead, national sales manager for Avlex, remarked, “We are very proud that Mipro has been recognized for the world’s first professional wireless mixer, the MA-909. Mipro has now been nominated twice for innovative products over the past few years. Our first TEC nomination was for Mipro’s ACT-707 wireless with built-in automatic frequency targeting and scanning. This has quickly become a standard feature set for our industry.
“This TEC nomination for the MA-909 characterizes Mipro’s continuing role as an industry leader and commitment to ongoing research and development of new innovative products for our markets.”
