The formation of Yamaha Corporation of America’s new Commercial Audio Systems Division will be effective April 1, 2002. Headed by general manager Larry Italia, the division will report to Yamaha Corporration of America president Mick Umemura. Commercial Audio Systems will be dedicated to the high end commercial recording, production, sound reinforcement/installed sound, broadcast and tour sound markets. In April 1999, Yamaha Commercial Audio had internally split off from the Professional Audio Department to form a dedicated dealer network and a separate sales and support team. The new division will further internal expansion in sales, marketing, administration, order entry and customer service.
