Biamp Opens Learning Center

Biamp Systems' new Learning Center is located in its headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The approximately 1,300-square-foot space has been designed to provide each visitor with an in-depth, real-life experience of working with Biamp equipment. Biamp's Learning Center has 12 individual workstations and is wired for video switching so that classes can review various audio designs created by participants and analyze different approaches. Each training session is two days in duration and initially focuses on Audia training for certification purposes.

The Sextant Group Expands to Washington, D.C.

The Sextant Group — an independent consulting and design firm specializing in audiovisual, IT, and acoustics — has opened a new office in the Washington, D.C. area. The new office is headed by Bill Valenti, a professional engineer. The Sextant Group also has offices in Pittsburgh and Phoenix.

AVAD Expands Phoenix Branch

AVAD Rocky Mountain/Primax has acquired a new location in the Phoenix market. The new location facilitates continued growth of sales, personnel, and customer base through display space, will-call, a sales office, and a separate large training facility. In addition to handling customer needs, the office supports a range of company functions, from hosting large catered events to private dealer consults.
