PMK’s David Marsh, Tim Lindstrom Awarded Leadership Roles in NCAC, ICIA

Pelton Marsh Kinsella (PMK), a division of Carter & Burgess, has been recognized in the audiovisual industry with the appointment of two of its leaders to key positions in industry organizations: David Marsh, PMK vice president and unit manager, has been named president-elect of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC), and Tim Lindstrom, PMK senior consultant, has been elected chairman of the Independent Consultants in Audiovisual Technologies Council of the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA).

Pelton Marsh Kinsella (PMK), a division of Carter & Burgess, has been recognized in the audiovisual industry with the appointment of two of its leaders to key positions in industry organizations: David Marsh, PMK vice president and unit manager, has been named president-elect of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC), and Tim Lindstrom, PMK senior consultant, has been elected chairman of the Independent Consultants in Audiovisual Technologies Council of the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA).

The NCAC is an international organization that recognizes acoustics professionals and provides opportunities for interaction within the industry and acts as a reference for the public.

Marsh, who had served on the organization’s board of directors, was elected president-elect due to his work on the board, most recently as vice-president, membership.

Marsh has over 25 years of experience in the fields of architectural and environmental acoustics as well as design of sound and audio-video systems, including consulting for performing arts facilities, houses of worship, sports facilities, conference and convention centers, major resorts, theme parks, corporate headquarters buildings, and educational facilities of all types.

Additionally, he is a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America. He also writes a monthly column for Sound & Communications magazine and teaches seminars and presents technical papers at professional society conferences on an ongoing basis.

Lindstrom has over 25 years of experience in the management, design, and installation of sound and communication systems for churches, sports and entertainment venues, theatres, auditoriums, hotels, casinos, racetracks, and educational facilities.

ICIA’s board of governors elected Lindstrom chair of the council following general comment from the organization’s membership. He also will serve on the board of governors through the end of 2005.

According to the International Communications Industries Association, ICIA is a non-competitive service organization that provides education, exhibitions, and information services to audiovisual professionals. The association membership includes more than 3,000 companies and many thousands of audiovisual professionals from around the world.

The ICAT council provides a forum for ICIA members who are independent design consultants. Council members share insights and information about consulting for audio, video, and telecommunications facilities and systems design.
