CEDIA will deliver 60 percent new and improved education at the show for the custom installation industry, CEDIA Expo 2003. The show kicks off September 3 and runs through September 7 at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis. The trade show floor is open September 5 through 7.

Special Events
Keynote Breakfast: Mark Cuban, president and cofounder of HDNet will speak at CEDIA's Keynote Breakfast on Friday, September 5 at 8:30 a.m. The breakfast is free and is open to the first 1,000 registrants.

Opening Reception: on the show floor on Friday, September 5 at 4 p.m.

Annual Meeting and Membership Luncheon: CEDIA is delivering information to answer its member's questions and concerns regarding HDTV. CEDIA's Annual Meeting and Membership Luncheon-Saturday, September 6 at 11:30 a.m.-will host a panel of experts involved in the HDTV roll-out who will explain and give insight into the world of HDTV and its future. Moderated by Michael Heiss of M. Heiss Consulting, the panel will include Preston Davis, ABC president of broadcast operations and engineering; David Arland of Thomson Consumer Electronics; and a yet-to-be-announced representative from the cable industry.
Installer Olympics: Attendees also have an opportunity to put the skills they learn through education courses and on the job to the test by participating in CEDIA's Installer Olympics. The Installer Olympics is scheduled for Friday, September 5, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, September 6, from noon to 4 p.m. Winners of the events are awarded with an array of prizes donated by CEDIA members and Expo exhibitors, including a Mitsubishi 55-inch HD-upgradeable projection TV, a Niles audio/video multizone receiver, $500 SpeakerCraft gift certificates, a Sencore CP5000 ColorPro analyzer, and an Audio Design Associates 6.1 adapter.

Golf Outing: This year's golf outing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2 at the Fort Golf Resort. There are many product prizes to win along with a chance to win a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Awards Banquet: Winners of the Electronic Lifestyles Award will be announced at the banquet on Saturday, September 6 from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
