Retiring Executive Director Receives Honor at CEDIA EXPO 2005

Billilynne Keller, executive director of the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), received the association’s 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award. CEDIA presented Keller, who plans to retire at the end of this year from her leadership post, with its most prestigious honor during the annual awards banquet held at EXPO 2005 in Indianapolis.

Keller, who joined CEDIA in 1993, played an integral role in the association’s ongoing growth and development to more than 3,000 member companies. She also led CEDIA’s membership expansion into global markets, while directing the association’s development of education and internationally accredited certification programs.

With more than 20 years of experience working with not-for-profit organizations and privately held businesses, Keller is a member of the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC), the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and various special sections of the association, including technology, international and association management companies.

In addition, she serves as president for Electronics Systems Industry Consortium and is past president and current secretary/treasurer for Integrated Systems Events. Keller is a partner in Raybourn Group International, a leading association management company, and also serves as president of Odyssey Quest, a subsidiary of Raybourn Group International.

CEDIA is an international trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home. The association was founded in September 1989 and has more than 3,000 member companies worldwide. CEDIA members are established and insured businesses with bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized field. CEDIA members include Residential Electronics Systems Professionals who have emerged as the “fourth contractor” in the building and remodeling industries alongside electrical, plumbing and HVAC professionals.
