Networked solutions take center stage in the new Network Integration Center (NIC) at the 2005 NSCA Systems Integration Expo March 10 to 12 in Orlando, Fla.

“Educating systems integrators on how to get product on the network using readily available technology is the goal of the Network Integration Center,” says Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director. “And by highlighting benefits like performance potential and reliability, we’ll highlight for attendees how they can help their customers understand the value of their services.”

Sponsored by Tech Data, Extron Electronics, and Digigram, the NIC will showcase networked product, as it would appear in select commercial venues. Extron Electronics will present their IP Link technology and GlobalViewer software in a unique hands-on, interactive display. Visitors will see demonstrations of how IP Link and GlobalViewer can be used to monitor, control, and schedule an entire organization’s AV systems over an existing Ethernet network. They’ll also have an opportunity to experience realtime remote management of devices as far away as Anaheim, Calif., and Amersfoort, Netherlands, over the Internet.

Three educational seminars will be conducted in the center, “Understanding the OSI Model,” “TCP/IP and Ethernet,” and “Leveraging the Ethernet Standard.” The free, 45-minute sessions will be led by James Lamb, business development manager for Digigram.

The Network Integration Center joins two other technology pavilions at NSCA including Digital Signage, sponsored by Activelight, and Security/Life Safety, sponsored by PSA Security Network. Attendees will learn from product demonstration on the show floor and gain more in-depth insight through accompanying classroom instruction.

Produced and managed by NSCA, the Systems Integration Expo is March 10 to 12 in the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Fla. More information can be found at www.nscaexpo.org or by calling NSCA at (800)446-6722. Members of NSCA and the PSA Security Network receive free exhibit passes and discounted education.
