VideoProtein and Avisere have announced a partnership that will enable central stations to offer remote video monitoring combined with intelligent video analytics in realtime as a service to users.

Customers will benefit from the new VideoProtein Activated by Avisere solution by receiving instant notification when someone enters an area of interest. Other services include video verification, detection, tracking, providing a count of the number of people in a field of view or area of interest over time, and recording when an event of interest occurs. Central stations and dealers will generate additional recurring revenues by offering these subscription-based services to their customers.

VideoProtein’s web-based remote video and content management platform leverages existing IP network infrastructures for easy integration with multiple applications. Avisere’s video analytic algorithms accurately differentiate between people, vehicles, designated behaviors, and events of interest from background noise and clutter. The technology can also track humans and objects in realtime.

By integrating the two technologies, central stations and first responders will also have more information about a site —potentially reducing false alarms and improving response times.

“Avisere’s Intelligent Video Analytics are a perfect complement to VideoProtein’s scalable, open-architecture, and hardware-independent platform,” says Anthony V. Pugliese IV, VideoProtein’s president. “This combined solution improves safety and protects assets, while also addressing the challenges of enhancing operational efficiencies and reducing the cost of employee theft.”

“We’re proud to partner with a forward-thinking company like VideoProtein,” says Roger Undhagen, Avisere’s president and CEO. “Together, we are providing a solution that will open new doors for services that previously were unavailable.”
