Weston, Massachusetts-based Voyager Sound Inc. introduced the GraphiMix 01TM, the first in a series of innovative audio mix software products that enhances control of MIDI-compatible hardware. GraphiMix employs a user-definable onscreen “mix surface” with image or text icons to represent individual sound elements. It uses the position or state of the graphic icons to set controls such as gain, pan and effects. The relative positions of the icons can represent a collection of mixer control settings. Adaptability is a key feature of this product. Those who have other manufacturer’s consoles can easily use GraphiMix with a Behringer, Tascam or Mackie console to meet their own needs. This system guides the user through a series of menus for easy customization. By using Voyager Sound’s VSL language, the user can define his own control elements, so GraphiMix products control most MIDI-compatible hardware without any modifications to the software. GraphiMix products support Win95TM, Win98TM, Win NTTM, Win2000TM and WinXPTM.
