The System Devices PM10-3 multi-zone stations are compatible with industry-standard microphones including dynamic, condenser, and electret styles, and use low-cost UTP Cat-5e structured cabling. Intuitive push-button access with label identification allows users to set page zone routing to Three Zone, Group Zone, and All Page areas. The stations can operate in standalone mode or in multiple units (up to 50 per system installation) and are compatible with any 100V, 70V, or 25V distributed loudspeaker system.

HHB's FlashMic DRM85 digital recording microphone combines a Sennheiser omnidirectional condenser capsule with 1GB of flash recording memory in a portable, easy-to-operate device. The mic transfers WAV linear or MPEG-1 layer 2-encoded files at up to 90X realtime via USB to a computer for editing and onward transmission. A pair of standard AA batteries power the unit for more than six hours. The package includes FlashMic Manager software, which allows users to create and store nine custom configurations.

The new High Resolution series of multichannel sound cards from Digigram includes the VX1222HR (2/12 analog and digital I/Os) and the VX1221HR (2/12 digital I/Os only). From Mackie comes the new S408 loudspeaker, which features new Mackie Tetrad Technology co-developed with the Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW). This technology replaces the single woofer found in traditional two-way loudspeakers with four smaller 8in. woofers and adds an unusually large horn in the center of the loudspeaker. This results in greater overall low-frequency driver surface area that can deliver more punch than a single 15in. woofer and a horn that delivers far better pattern control in the upper mid frequencies.

The Allen & Heath GR2 1RU analog zone mixer features six mic and three stereo line inputs, two zone outputs (one stereo and one mono), and a mono aux output for installations in the live entertainment and conference AV sectors. The mixer allows installers to easily configure key functions such as paging facilities; three-band mic EQ, including HPF; two-band stereo output EQ; and an auxiliary output with an LPF option for sub-bass from front-panel preset switches and trimmers. New features for the Audio-Technica UniPoint series hanging, gooseneck, boundary, and handheld microphones include UniGuard RFI shielding for protection from RF interference; new interchangeable elements (cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional, and UniLine line cardioid condensers); superior off-axis rejection for improved gain before feedback; an 80Hz UniSteep filter to remove unwanted low frequencies; and a two-stage foam windscreen to improve resistance to P-pops and other breath blasts. Most boundary models also incorporate the company's PivotPoint rotating output connector, which allows the cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the microphone.
ATC Loudspeakers' SMC 110A active three-way reference monitor was designed for stereo and multichannel applications that feature a dedicated center channel and subwoofer system. The low-profile monitor comprises twin 9in. ATC SL bass drivers, an ATC 3in. soft-dome mid, and a 1in. soft-dome tweeter. Other features include a ±80×10 degree dispersion and an amplitude linearity of 50Hz to 20kHz (±2dB). The active design matches six MOSFET amplifier blocks with the drivers to deliver a maximum SPL of 115dB. Amplifier output is 50W for HF, 100W for MF, and 200W for LF. An LF contour control provides 6dB of bass boost.

Community's iHP3564 and iHP3594 iBox installation loudspeakers feature a driver complement that consists of a 15in. high-power, low-frequency driver; an 8in. midrange driver; and a 1.4in. exit/2.87in. edge wound-voice-coil compression driver. High-order crossovers minimize band overlap, and the large-format horn flare delivers well-controlled dispersion: 60×40 degrees for the iHP3564 and 90×40 degrees for the iHP3594.
