The System 4200e THX Select home theater speaker ensemble features redesigned front- and center-channel speakers with permanently attached finishing panels. The 642e subwoofer features a new 12in. woofer with a 3X heavier magnet and new cone design for a lower resonant frequency. The system is available in gloss black, satin black, maple, or silver finishes.

Surround Controller

The Model 7100 THX Ultra2-certified surround processor can switch up to 10 AV sources. It features six analog audio inputs, four coaxial and four optical digital audio inputs, and a 7.1-channel analog input. It also has six composite, four S-Video, and three component video inputs. Other features include a two-way RS-232 port for connection with home automation systems and touchpanel controls, two external IR remote-control repeater inputs, and one fixed and two programmable 12V trigger outputs for control of external equipment.

Music Servers

Meda Systems

Bravo whole-house music servers serve one, four, eight, 12, 16, or 24 zones. The servers allow users to play and synchronize multiple audio sources in multiple zones through analog, digital, or IP-based entertainment systems. They offer instant-play capability, song lists that persist for each separate music library, and faster CD ripping. Key networking information is displayed on the front panel for easy accessibility, and new RS-232 and TCP/IP control commands make integration easier.

Network Control Module

The Internet Control Module (ICM) allows homeowners to connect security and HVAC systems to a network and control them via an IP-based web interface. The Honeywell ICM requires no programming and can be quickly plugged into new or existing systems, including Honeywell's APEX security system and Enviracom programmable thermostat. HTML control pages displaying virtual versions of the systems' keypads can be accessed from any web browser.

Display Stand

The CB-SP1200 display stand features integrated left-, right-, and center-channel speakers and an accessory shelf to hold a receiver, DVD player, or other electronic components. The 17"×47"×17.75" stand is compatible with LCD or plasma flat-panel displays, as well as tabletop rear-projection or conventional CRT models weighing up to 250lbs. The speakers are magnetically shielded to prevent interference with video displays and have a frequency response of 50Hz to 100kHz. The stand can be set up in less than one minute.

DVD Authoring

PowerProducer 3 DVD authoring software now carries the RAM Compatibility logo for PC authoring, in addition to logos for DVD-Video PC authoring and DVD-VR PC recording. Together, these logos ensure interoperability between DVDs authored with PowerProducer and consumer DVD devices. Users can append discs they have recorded via consumer DVD burners or play discs on consumer DVD players that have been authored with PowerProducer 3.

The Vision Model 60 projector's optical light engine incorporates three D-ILA chips, rather than one, to minimize image distortion and the “rainbow effect” that can affect single-chip displays. It offers accurate grayscale tracking and true 6500K color reproduction for film-like images. The projector provides 1000 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 800:1 and delivers bright and detailed images on screens as large as 8ft. wide. The projector also features discrete IR and RS-232 controls for seamless custom installation.

Power Adapter

Calypso Control Systems

Many external power adapters lack uniformity in size and voltage requirements, which can lead to wiring and power management problems in overcrowded equipment racks. The PDU75-5/12 configurable power adapter can eliminate these problems. The 75W power adapter provides six connectors, each of which can be set to either 5V or 12VDC with reversible polarity. The power brick can be eliminated by wiring multiple devices directly into the PDU75.

Audio Cables

RSC Air Series 2 audio cables feature the proprietary Air-Suspension filament to eliminate distortion. The aerospace-grade polyethylene-extrusion filament fits over the central Air-Tube to provide a larger air space between it and the shield. This increased space decreases sound distortion and coloration for better-quality sound reproduction.
