Company officials said the M7CLv2 software incorporates features requested by Yamaha console users worldwide, such as Global Paste, enabling simultaneous editing of multiple scenes, and Matrix Sends on Fader, providing access to 24 mix busses.

Additional improvements include Post-Fader Inserts on all inputs and outputs, Post-Fader Direct Outs, Monitor/Cue Level on stereo/mono faders, improved Recall Safe mode, and Relative Level Channel Link and User-Defined Key Setup on the console’s offline editing software.

“We always listen to recommendations made to us by engineers, the ultimate end users of our products, when designing or upgrading our products,” said Marc Lopez, marketing manger for Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, in a statement. “M7CLv2 includes many of these recommendations and even more power and convenience for the live mix/installed sound situation. And, when used with the new SB168-ES Stage Box providing more inputs and outputs, the Yamaha M7CLv2 digital console becomes an even more affordable mixing solution.”

The M7CLv2 software update will be available for download free of charge during this summer for all existing M7CL users; new console purchasers will receive the software pre-installed at no additional charge.
