The Hollywood Reporter has released a featurette detailing the specialized work behind The Odyssey’s filming using IMAX 70mm cameras. Director Christopher Nolan had previously used the medium on specific scenes in previous films, but The Odyssey is the first feature film in history to be shot entirely on this larger film type.

The behind-the-scenes video showcases solutions developed specifically for The Odyssey, including the creation of the Keighley Camera, the first new IMAX 70mm camera in decades. The rest of the development process is also highlighted, including the scanning, cutting, and editing required to bring The Odyssey from the IMAX camera to the big screen.
