Behringer relaunches The Wasp synth

Behringer has added another to its lineup of cloned analog synths and drum machines with the Wasp Deluxe, an “ultra-affordable homage” as they call it to the iconic 1978 synth. $298.99 at Sweetwater.

The Wasp was popular with the Eurythmics, Vince Clarke and 808 State. The company that made it, Electronic Dream Planet, is no more, so perhaps cloning is fare (though not without its critics). The new Wasp has has an all-analog signal path, as well as two digital oscillators, each with three variable waveshapes and MIDI connectivity through USB.

Here is the goofy marketing video.
