This year’s CES in Las Vegas has seen Belkin unveil a new wireless casting solution with the ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter. This adapter can wirelessly cast from a device’s USB-C adapter to a display or projector within a range of 131 feet.

Priced at $150, the ConnectAir adapter casts at 1080p Full HD resolution with a refresh rate of 60Hz without the need for a Wi-Fi network or additional drivers. The solution is plug-and-play, and consists of USB-A to HDMI receiver dongle and a USB-C transmitter. Belkin says that the device can cast from any DisplayPort Alt Mode-supported USB-C device, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The company states that its casting solution supports multi-user screen sharing of up to eight transmitters, with a latency of under 80ms.
While an exact release date has not been announced, Belkin says the ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter will begin shipping sometime in Q1 of this year.
