Bose has unveiled a new soundbar that introduces a novel concept, bringing new meaning to “personal surround sound.” The new soundbar, named the Bose Smart Soundbar, is a compact solution that supports Dolby Atmos and features Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, HDMI eARC, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. What makes the Smart Soundbar unique is its compatibility with Bose’s Ultra Open Earbuds, which the company says transforms the earbuds into personal rear surround speakers to compliment the soundbar.
“The Bose Smart Soundbar can now be paired with Bose Ultra Open Earbuds for an added dimension to your favorite content with Bose Personal Surround Sound,” says Bose. “The unique open-ear design of the Ultra Open Earbuds combined with breakthrough Bose Immersive Audio technology enables the buds to act as rear surround speakers for an individual user while still being able to hear the powerful audio emanating from the soundbar — creating an unparalleled sonic experience of sound all around you.”
