The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for two models of popular novelty Christmas tree light controllers due to a fire hazard. The Mr. Christmas controllers (with model numbers 39611, 39612 or 39630) were sold at WalMart, Target, and Cracker Barrel. According to the CPSC, the wireless receiver component of the controllers have the potential to overheat and cause a fire, an especially dangerous consideration when their close proximity with Christmas trees are taken into account.
