Disney+ and Hulu launch interactive storefronts

"The Drama You Want" campaign allows guests to use hand gestures to browse titles in the companies' streaming catalogues

Disney+ and Hulu have partnered with Publicis Media and Visual Feeder to launch “The Drama You Want,” a new series of interactive storefront experiences.

Located in Manhattan and Santa Monica, the storefronts utilize Visual Feeder’s DOOH technology to enable guests to use gesture controls to browse the streaming services’ offerings.

“By combining the strategic media planning of Publicis Media with the storytelling power of Disney+ and Hulu, the project transforms the “window-scape” into a portal for discovery,” says Disney+.

When a title is selected through gesture controls, a trailer is then projected onto the storefront for guests to watch.

“Through detecting hand gestures, users navigate through genre pillars Thrillers, Sci-Fi, and Procedurals ultimately receiving a tailored, full-screen trailer payoff precisely mapped to the storefront’s architecture,” explains a press release. No word yet if there are plans for more installations across the country beyond the two initial locations.
