Dolby Atmos coming to Cadillac’s EV lineup

Spatial audio coming to all 2026 Cadillac EVs, and select 2025 models

Dolby announced earlier this year that it had more than doubled its partnerships with auto manufacturers in 2024, and it looks like the company has no plans of slowing down. General Motors has struck a deal with Dolby and Amazon Music, bringing Dolby Atmos to the entire 2026 Cadillac EV lineup, as well as select 2025 and 2026 Cadillac models. These select 2025 models will receive the new feature via a software update.

“GM included the recording, mixing, and artist communities in the development process for adoption of Dolby Atmos, ensuring a level of quality that meets the highest industry standards,” reads GM’s announcement. “Cadillac’s AKG sound system, strategically placed speakers, and advanced engineering combine seamlessly with Dolby Atmos to provide a three-dimensional sound experience.”

Amazon Music will be the provider for Cadillac’s Dolby Atmos experience via the vehicles’ infotainment system. GM also points out that USB connections in the vehicles are also Dolby Atmos-enabled. The first models receiving the spatial audio format are the Cadillac OPTIQ and VISTIQ, which sport 19- and 23-speaker systems, respectively, to take advantage of Dolby’s immersive sound.
