Free DECT NR+ workshop coming to Sennheiser head office in Wademark, Germany

MERCI invites you to experience Europe’s non-cellular 5G wireless technology

MERCI, a Franco-German innovation project, has announced that it will be holding its concluding workshop at the Sennheiser head office in Wademark, Germany on 14 March, 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. The consortium will consist of a public workshop that will map “the state of the art of private 5G networks for the industry,” and feature multiple demos of DECT NR+ technology.

“We are delighted to be hosting the final MERCI workshop at the Sennheiser head office in Wedemark,” says Dr Andreas Wilzeck, Sennheiser’s Head of Spectrum Policies and Standards, and Consortium Lead of MERCI. “On behalf of MERCI, I’d like to extend an invitation to all interested individuals to experience this future wireless technology today.”

According to MERCI, demos will include:

  • The DECT NR+ evaluation board
  • An audio interview transmission over DECT NR+
  • MPEG-H object audio via DECT NR+, including processing and distribution
  • An SDR (software defined radio) implementation of DECT NR+
  • An industrial control protocol for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) over DECT NR+.

The show will close with a live show by Sonic Crusaders.
