Google teased an upcoming, unannounced home speaker during its Pixel 10 event last week, and Android Headlines has since secured more details about the smart speaker.
As part of Google’s next generation of products, Gemini will be taking the place of Google Assistant in the upcoming speaker, which is confirmed to be available in multiple colors including red, light green, black, and porcelain.
The unnamed speaker will feature Gemini Live, and will make use of new, more natural voices for its AI assistant, reports Android Headlines. Being able to function as a smart home hub with Matter integration, he speaker will be able to set up home automations, and send alerts if any suspicious noises are detected when the user is away. The speaker will also be able to be paired with the Google TV Streamer for more immersive audio options while watching media.
While no official release date or pricing information has been announced, the Google smart home speaker is expected to release within the coming months.
