
As we previously reported, TVs receiving support for Dolby Vision 2 this year will need to undergo mandatory software updates. Hisense has announced it is the first to do so, with the first Dolby Vision 2 updates being rolled out this week.
“With this update, Hisense TV owners will immediately notice a difference across all Dolby Vision content. From movies and TV to games and live sports, everything they already love in Dolby Vision will look more captivating and authentic, offering a significant and immediate improvement to their Dolby Vision experience today,” Dolby stated regarding the rollout. “And the experience will only get richer with CANAL+, iQIYI, and Peacock committed to utilizing the expanded palette of Dolby Vision 2 capabilities.
Hisense says that the rollout will take a couple weeks in total, with the company’s 2026 UX, UR9, UR8, and U7 models being the first to receive the Dolby Vision 2 Max firmware update.
