Hisense has gone extra large with its launch of a 136-inch 4K micro-LED TV. First revealed at CES back in January, the Hisense 136MX is advertised as having a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and its massive display has been given an anti-glare treatment.

Thus far, true micro-LED displays, which eliminate the need for an LCD layer, have been prohibitively expensive to produce for most markets. While Hisense’s new model is more affordable than the competition, it still runs for $100,000 (which is reduced from its $150,000 initial price). For reference, LG’s 118″ model is available for $237,000. Hisense’s new offering features a 120Hz refresh rate as well as support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atoms, and HDR10+. It comes standard with the Vidaa OS operating system.
When revealed earlier this year, Hisense claimed that the 136MX covers 95% of BT.2020, with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Visuals are rendered using Hisense’s Hi-View AI Engine X, which leverages AI to optimize the viewing experience frame-by-frame.
