HP has announced a new addition to its Series 5 monitor lineup with the Series 5 Pro 49″ Conferencing Monitor. As the name would imply, the upcoming monitor is tailored towards videoconferencing, with a 49″ display that can be split into two or treated as one ultrawide screen.
Google Beam’s price and full specs revealed
The Series 5 monitor sports a 5120 x 1440 resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. A 5-megapixel webcam is hidden in the top of the display, becoming visible only when the user presses down on it to make it pop up. The monitor’s 32:9 VA panel features an 1800R curvature, and HP claims that it is the world’s first conferencing monitor to utilize integrated AI noise reduction for fewer distractions during meetings.
The monitor was recently showcased at a preview event ahead of next month’s release, where attendees reported connectivity options including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and multiple USB ports. Pricing is currently unknown, with HP stating that more information will become available closer to launch.
