JBL has announced a new flagship soundbar that is set to launch in October of this year. Boasting a maximum power output of 2,470W, the Bar 1300MK2 is an 11.1.4 channel soundbar that comes equipped with two upward-firing units for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, a dual eight-inch compact sub, and detachable rear speakers. The rear speakers can pull double-duty as Bluetooth speakers separately when the whole sound system isn’t needed. Given its features and pricing, the 1300MK2 is positioned to rival other premium Dolby Atmos soundbars such as the Sonos Arc Ultra.
In addition to its new flagship model, JBL has just launched four new soundbar models, the Bar 1000MK2, Bar 700Mk2, Bar 500MK2 and Bar 300MK2. Only the flagship 1300MK2 and 1000MK2 offer true Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support, while the other models support Virtual Dolby Atmos and will receive support for DTS Virtual :X and Eclipsa Audio via an update later this year.
Prices range from $1,699.95 for the Bar 1300MK2 down to $449 for the 300MK2.
