LG has announced that it is integrating its True Wireless 4K technology, most recently seen in the transparent OLED T TV, into the company’s QNED evo lineup. The wireless technology utilizes a separate Zero Connect Box to transmit video up to 4K resolution at a refresh rate of 144Hz.
LG’s True Wireless 4K technology first debuted in the company’s M Series OLED model last year, where it was an exclusive feature before showing back up in the company’s $60,000 transparent TV. Bringing the feature over into the QNED evo line may mean the company is trying to make its wireless technology more accessible to the masses. LG’s tech means that the only cable required to run directly into the TV is the power cable, and, according to reception of the M Series model, it works as advertised.
In addition to True Wireless 4K, LG claims that, in lieu of quantum dots, the new QNED evo line will feature a “proprietary wide color gamut technology, Dynamic QNED Color Solution,” that “enables light from the backlight to be expressed in pure colors that are as realistic as they appear to the eye in general life.”
