LG is the next company to compete with Samsung for “art TV” market space. The company has announced the debut of its new LG Gallery+ platform, launching alongside its 2025 OLED and LCD TV lineup.
Offering access to over 4,000 pieces of art, LG Gallery+ is available in two forms: a stripped-down light edition that gives users access to a limited, curated selection of artwork, and the premium version that functions on a monthly subscription plan. LG Gallery+ was created in partnership with several institutions, such as the National Gallery.
“We believe great art should be part of everyday life,” said Susan Noonan, Chief Commercial Officer at National Gallery Global. “Through LG Gallery+, homes around the world now have access to our curated masterpieces, offering moments of reflection, inspiration and beauty beyond the Gallery walls.”
LG says that its new platform uses “adaptive features” that adjust clarity and brightness for optimal viewing. Always-On-Display and screensaver modes allow art to be displayed when the TV is not in use, and AI Brightness Control helps maintain picture quality, regardless of the room’s lighting conditions.
LG Gallery+ is currently rolling out to the company’s 2025 lineup, with an update for older models to follow.
