Marshall debuts its first soundbar

The Heston 120 is the first of three TV audio products from Marshall to launch this year

Renowned amplification company Marshall has announced its first foray into TV audio with the Heston 120 soundbar. Known primary for its guitar amps, cabinets, and effects pedals, the British has spent the last few years branching out into consumer audio with a range of Bluetooth speakers that preserve the brand’s rugged rock n’ roll aesthetic. The Heston 120 keeps the look Marshall is known for, with an all-over texture and analog control panels with three golden knobs.

Marshall says the Heston 120 is the first of three TV audio products to launch, with the Heston 60 soundbar and Heston Sub 200 coming later this year. The Heston 120 connects via HDMI eARC, or external devices via HDMI Pass-through, with wireless support including Wi-Fi and BlueTooth, as well as an analog RCA input for external music players. Marshall notes that the Heston 120 is easily repairable, with replaceable parts including the fret, end caps, drivers and circuit boards.

“We know that soundbar owners use their soundbar to listen to music, yet most soundbars are not built for both music and TV,” says Senior Product Manager Anders Olsson. “This gave us a reason to exist and an opportunity to really shine with our legacy in music and audio.”

The Heston 120 launches on June 3rd, with preorders available now at Marshall.com.
